Miami-based Security Solutions International (SSI), a homeland security training company which has taken hundreds of Homeland Security professionals from the military, police, and reserves to Israel for training is now giving men and women who are fit the same opportunity to takethe Israel Warrior challenge.

Those who take the challenge will get to train with Israeli commandoes, as well as experience some of the most beautiful parts of Israel, off the beaten track and at the same time learn about the spirit that enables Israeli's to love their country so much and be so good at defending it.  (You can see reviews and testimonials on the company website www.homelandsecurityssi.com)

After arriving in Israel, the group is transferred from Ben Gurion Airport straight to the northern city of Haifa. Even before they get over their jet-lag from traveling and the seven hour time difference, they will have a full day of Training - on Sunday. This first day is dedicated to Krav Maga, the Israeli art of self defense.

The following days are spent on the northern border, hiking in areas that are special permit only, like the Black Canyon, and learning about everything to do with tracking in that area.

On the way to these "missions" participants learn about the conflict in the Middle East, reinforced by being at places like the Golan Heights and the Northern Border, where just across the border, Hezbollah forces can be seen readyto attack Israel at any time.

Participants will get to train with former Israeli commandos from elite units.

They will also visit some of the most beautiful places of interest, as well. There is a visit to the Stone Arch, a spectacular rappelling natural arch, where  rappelling down, provides some of the most spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Galilee.

The climax of the trip is rope swinging down the Salt Cavern's of the Dead Sea named Fox's Chimney and scaling Masada on the way back up - the Israeli fortress of resistance against the Romans where everyone committed suicide rather than surrender in the year 74 AD.

The trip is also designed to expose travelers to Israel's main attractions - the beauty of Jerusalem, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Wailing wall - the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea, and the night life of Tel Aviv, known for being one of Europe's best party towns.

The company has already offered 21 training trips to Israel.

This trip for nonprofessional adventure-seekers will be offered three times a year. The cost is $2,499 which includes everything but airfare to Tel Aviv - three meals a day, accommodations in hotels that are three star or higher, bus transportation to/from the airport, training, training equipment, even flashlights that are needed to go down into the caverns.

The trip is geared to men and women, reasonably fit and likely in their 20s to mid-50s, who want to be adventurous in a safe environment.

SSI President Henry Morgenstern, an Israeli who has accompanied more than 20 groups to Israel over the last few years, says, "For the young and young at heart that are reasonably fit, this will be the adventure of a lifetime. All activities are optional for all participants so that if someone does not want to go rappelling down the mountain, they can lay back and enjoy the views. We are experts at safety having been entrusted with the US Homeland Security professionals so we know what we are doing there."
