Program Overview:
Jihad 2.0 from Virtual to Physical - 2 day workshop for First Responders
The workshop deals with the Jihadi threat from a wide angle previously unexposed to first responders - treating the threat as a process with a foreseeable lifecycle, rather than an incident.
This foreseeable lifecycle can be broken down into a set of techno-intelligence signatures - signs, indications and traces foretelling a future terror incident that is about to take place.
As the threat of home-grown, self-radicalized Jihadi terror cells grows, the place to look for these techno-intelligence signatures is the local community, by the people who live within it or correspond with it on a daily basis. For these reasons, in combating home grown terror, first responders are our first and last line of defense. The "Jihad 2.0 - from virtual to physical" workshop is about knowing your enemy, the first step towards "connecting the dots" and ultimately - saving lives. It highlights the need to be alert to all stages of the Jihadi threat lifecycle, at all levels, utilizing a wide variety of information sources fused into a complete threat analysis. It is therefore highly relevant to all members of the counter-terrorism community who wish to acquire, and effectively apply, the innovative counter-measures that are required in order to win the war on terror.
