Unique perspectives based on predictable terror lifecycles and perceiving threats and risks to save lives and protect valuable assets

Miami, Florida
July 31, 2008

Security Solutions International, the leader in Homeland Security, will present an exclusive training event hosted by the King County Sheriff’s Office in Washington, DC including the 2-day seminars Jihad 2.0 – From Virtual to Physical on November 18-19, 2008 and Building Safety and Security Engineering on November 20-21, 2008.

Jihad 2.0 – From Virtual to Physical examines the worldwide Jihadi threat from the unique perspective of foreseeable lifecycles as indicated by a set of techno-intelligence signatures.

First Responders learn to confront the Jihadi threat proactively based on a wide angle process view. When terror threats are mapped as foreseeable events that adhere to a predictable lifecycle, virtual threats gives way to physical reality as evidenced by the heightened ability to identify acts about to take place, and ultimately save lives.

The seminar scope includes:

·          Profiling your enemy (connecting the dots) and saving lives

·          Leveraging techno-intelligence signatures in the local community

·          Staying alert throughout the stages of the Jihadi threat lifecycle via comprehensive threat analysis

·          Acquiring innovative counter measures to combat terror

About the presenter: Gadi Aviran, CEO of Terrorgence, is one of Israel's leading authorities in the field of Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Devises (IED) Disposal. Before founding Terrorgence in 2004, Mr. Aviran spent nearly a decade serving as the head of the Technical Intelligence Analysis desk in the Production Division of the Israel Defense Force's Military Intelligence directorate.

Discover how and why Jihadi terror cells leverage the Internet, populating their Cyber Sanctuary with recruitment propaganda and easy terror techniques. Learn intelligence collection strategies and counter measures based on innovative analysis techniques. In reality, applying the information and techniques presented in this seminar can bring each participant a step closer to winning the war on Jihadi terror.

Building Safety and Security Engineering deals with perceiving threats and risks, as well as planning swift mitigation options for saving lives and protecting valuable assets.

Timely allocation of human resources and available funds, based on clearly defined protection prospects, greatly impacts optimal attack deterrence, as well as potential mitigation options in actual attack situations. During this innovative training program, suited to security officers, facility managers and other managers with security responsibilities, participants will examine real world examples and cost effective solutions based on case studies that portray typical security challenges.

The seminar scope includes:

·          Identifying typical threats and associated risks to people and property

·          Assessing how threats impact people and property (based on pertinent case studies)

·          Learning about suicide bombers

·          Understanding risk/threat analysis methodology and benefits of empirical studies of the facility’s physical security elements

·          Gaining an overview of physical and technological protection methods and their corresponding roles in deterrence, detection and mitigation

·          Determining and prioritizing security needs (as aligned to perceived threats and budget)

About the presenter: Hailing from the senior ranks of Israeli Intelligence, the presenter is a recognized security expert who holds a number of patents for mitigation technology. Working closely with institutions, agencies and private companies worldwide, he actively conducts both threat and risk assessments, and lectures internationally on Building Safety and Security Engineering to professional audiences.

Ultimately, the ability to prevent attacks to your facility, or limit damages to person and property, depends on comprehensive knowledge training and the use of architecture, engineering, people and technology as explored in this seminar.
