Radical Islamist groups, some affiliated with terrorist groups, have tried to silence the powerful SSI program but have not succeeded. Putting pressure on officials to get the program banned, has resulted in more orders for the SSI training. “ We believe that profiling on an ethic basis is bad practice because the terrorists are very adept at recognizing our stereotypes and going around this obstacle,” states Bradman, “so while we train to avoid ethnic and racial stereotypes we also recognize the role of Radical Islam in creating terror attacks worldwide, most recently in Detroit last Christmas.”
