Warnings of terror activity increase and are more
specific...
The United States raised the terrorism threat level
Sunday to code orange, or high, for the financial services sector of
New York City, northern New Jersey and Washington, Homeland Security
Secretary Tom Ridge announced. Ridge cited "new and unusually
specific information about where al Qaeda would like to attack."
ALEA annual conference features SSI training aimed at Aviation
Units
For the first time ever, SSI presented training to
Helicopter Police Aviation Units at the annual meeting in Charlotte.
The emphasis on Homeland Security was obvious from the tag lines of
major manufacturers like Bell Helicopters. Security Solutions
International also received interest from two major manufacturers in
sponsoring and endorsing the course.
GOVSEC in Washington - Well attended July 28th and 29th
Although many security shows
have launched post 9/11, GOVSEC is the only conference and
expo that addresses the full spectrum of security needs for

Charity accused of terror links
A prominent American-Muslim
charity group has been indicted on charges of terrorism. Seven of
the charity’s employees have been arrested for aiding the
Palestinian terror organization Hamas.
