Nov. 13, 2001 Air Crash over New York Was Work of Al Qaeda
Suicide, Says Canadian Intelligence
In a week when two planes
in Russia were downed as a result of terrorist actions, there is
news on the never resolved crash of of American Airlines 587 over
New York. According to an article on Debka, sources in Canadian
intelligence claim that the crash was the work of Al Qaeda using an
operative with a shoe bomb.

groups that are terror threats. The US Navy has come up with quite a
comprehensive list of the different groups, including information on
each. This is an invaluable resource for law enforcement.
SSI to train Emergency Responders at the Emergency Response Show
in San Diego on November 17th 2004
SSI has been contracted by
the organizers of the EMERGENCY RESPONSE SHOW to provide the first
ever visit to the USA of the Rambam Medical Center team. The center,
located in Haifa, is well known internationally as the expert
medical facility in dealing with Mass Casualty Incidents. More than
22 countries have visited the center to learn from the experience
gained in many such incidents. SSI is bringing in Dr. Moshe
Michaelson and Gila Hyams, two leading world experts in the field to
give a one-day seminar. Also, the well-known SSI training program on

SSI's Sol Bradman argues the case for voluntary controls on
helicopter flights to enhance safety and security
With the
recent warnings about the use of helicopters by terrorists in the
FBI bulletin, it may be time to consider our approach to Helicopter
security and take a proactive stance. By doing something on a
voluntary basis, and not waiting, we may avoid the kind of incident
the FBI describes which would have disastrous effects - certainly
first for the victims of any such incident but also for the entire
Helicopter industry and community.
